1. Introduction
PreSnap (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile application that helps football players improve their football IQ through AI coaching, lessons, and playbook tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the PreSnap iOS app.
2. Information We Collect
2a. Information You Provide
- Email address — used for account creation and sign-in via Supabase Auth.
- Position and skill level — your football position and experience level, set during onboarding.
- Learning preferences — learning style and goal selections.
2b. Information Generated by Your Activity
- AI conversation history — messages exchanged with the AI coach (Tutor feature). Stored in Supabase and visible only to you.
- Whiteboard diagrams — play diagrams you draw, stored as images in Supabase Storage.
- Playbook notes and custom plays — content you create in the Playbook feature.
- Learning progress — which lessons you have completed and XP earned.
- Usage statistics — daily AI request counts used for quota enforcement (stored in
ai_usage_daily).
- Notification device tokens — APNs device tokens for push notifications, if you grant permission.
2c. Analytics Data (if you opt in)
When analytics are enabled (the default), we collect:
- Feature usage events (e.g., lesson completed, tutor message sent, whiteboard saved).
- App version and build number.
- No personally identifiable information is included in analytics events.
You can opt out of analytics at any time in Settings → Privacy.

Your messages to the AI coach are forwarded to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic’s API does not use submitted data to train models by default.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: retained until you delete your account.
- AI usage stats: retained for 90 days rolling.
- Quiz cache: retained for 24 hours (auto-expired).
- Analytics events: retained per PostHog’s default policy (1 year).
6. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently and irreversibly deletes:
- Your profile, position, and preferences
- All lesson progress and XP
- All AI conversations
- All whiteboard diagrams
- All playbook notes and custom plays
Account deletion is handled by the delete_user_account database function, which cascades across all tables.
7. Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
- Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) ensures each user can only access their own data.
- Your Anthropic API key is never embedded in the iOS app — all AI requests are proxied through our server.
- We do not store plaintext passwords; authentication is managed by Supabase Auth.
8. Children’s Privacy
PreSnap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (via in-app account deletion)
- Object to processing for analytics (opt out via Settings)
- Data portability — contact us for an export

10. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, via an in-app notification.
